MP Liam Byrne recently visited Braidwood School and was highly impressed by the wonderful work taking place. During his visit, he toured the school before leading a special assembly with pupils.
As part of the assembly, pupils were invited to share the changes they would like him to take to Parliament. After thoughtful discussion and voting, their top priority was clear: improving access to interpreters in healthcare settings and appointments.
Liam has committed to raising this important issue with the Health Secretary and taking it forward in Parliament.
Our pupils were exceptional throughout the assembly and were fully engaged and confident in expressing their ideas. Every pupil featured in the photo contributed a suggestion for positive change. We are incredibly proud of them. Well done!
