Positive Mental Health


Positive mental health is something we all want for both ourselves and our loved ones.

However, Deaf people are twice as likely to experience mental health issues such as depression and anxiety compared to hearing people.  What makes this situation worse is that Deaf people find it harder to access support. When they go to the doctors, they can experience communication barriers which only makes their symptoms worse.

It's always important to seek help, but it's also useful to know a little about what we are talking about and to try to help ourselves and our family members.
