BID services, working together with some Teachers of the Deaf, hosted an event for Year 9 upwards focused on self-advocacy and independence.

There were short workshops on the day around independent travel (led by National Express WM who are bringing a bus), home safety from West Midlands Fire Service, staying safe online and an opportunity to chat with WM Police, BCC equipment service and a number of positive deaf role models.
