Destinations Summer 2018

As you can tell from our website, there is always a choice of options for young people as they near the end of their time at Braidwood, whether that is at the end of year 11, 12 or 13.

In Summer 2018 our learners made a variety of choices including college courses in:

  • Motor Vehicle Studies
  • Creative Arts
  • Aerospace Engineering and Maintenance (Civil Aircraft)
  • Vehicle System Maintenance
  • Child Development and Care
  • Sport and Exercise Studies
  • Access to Further Education

Year 11 (2017/18)

40% of learners chose to go to College to study new courses: Walsall College.
60% of our learners decided to stay on into the Sixth Form at Braidwood to continue to develop their skills and qualifications

Year 12/13 (2017/18)

60% of learners chose to go to Colleges to study new courses: Walsall College, Solihull College, Dudley College
40% of our learners decided to stay on into the Sixth Form at Braidwood to continue to develop their skills and qualifications

No Braidwood Learners will be NEET in 2018/19

Braidwood Trust School for the Deaf will maintain contact with all our leavers to check on their progress in their chosen college courses and to ensure that any encountering difficulties are given the support they require to avoid becoming NEET.
