Your Entitlement

At Braidwood School we aim to ensure that all our learners are prepared to make well-informed decisions about their future career progression, employment, training or further education.

As a school we have a statutory and moral duty to provide learners in Years 8 to 13 with careers education, information, advice and guidance. At Braidwood School we extend this to include Year 7.

You are entitled to:

Support and guidance to help you make choices and complete a career plan for your future

Help to decide what to do when you finish Year 11, including further learning, training and employment

A programme of careers education helping you develop skills and knowledge to make the best choices

Opportunities to learn about the world of work

Careers guidance that is impartial, confidential, focused on your individual needs and fit for purpose, supportive of equal opportunities, and that is provided by people with relevant training and expertise
